About us
We don't just design, we make things ourselves.
eudemia is a small workshop from Münster. We build circular furniture from plant-based residual fibres and solid oak from our region. And we take care of the whole journey, from the material all the way back into the loop.

How it started
Two paths, one question.
We met through a mutual friend from home. What connected us was the wish to make things in the world a little better. Out of the question of how that could work in furniture making of all places, a team grew over time, and from that, eudemia.
The people
Chris and Jonas.

Jonas Finkeldei
Production and concept
Trained carpenter, industrial designer, lecturer in sustainable product design at the Akademie für Gestaltung in Münster. Brings together craft, design and material.
Design solves problems and creates them at the same time. I want to think about consumer goods more uncompromisingly, so that no more waste is created that we can't put to further use.

Chris Baumhöer
Business model and sales
Business psychologist, innovation and start-up consultant. Designs business models that solve ecological, psychological and social problems together.
The idea came from a sustainability module at university. Since then I have been looking for models that don't play business and responsibility off against each other.
Our own production
From the Finkeldei joinery workshop.
We don't only design on screen. At the Finkeldei joinery workshop we build prototypes and make things ourselves. This is also where we saw the oak logs we buy just a few kilometres away. The wood is dried by a partner nearby. That way we keep material, construction and quality in our own hands.

Milestones
Awarded and on the road.
